CIGAR REVIEW: MONTECRISTO EPIC CRAFT CURED TORO

Country of Origin: Nicaragua (Manufactured by Plasencia Cigars) Size: 6" x 52 Strength: Full Wrapper: Vintage 2006 Nicaraguan Filler: Nicaraguan Estelí, Jalapa, and Condega Binder: Nicaraguan Ometepe  Construction and Overall Appearance: Solidly rolled – and I mean SOLID. This cigar has some serious weight to it. Wrapper is an even milk-chocolate color. Triple seam cap was deftly applied and I didn't even have to chop it; the blades alone lifted it off from the top seam in a perfect circle. Draw: Very good. Cold draw: Very light in flavor. Only a suggestion of leather and cedar. First few puffs: The foot took a little longer than usual to get going. Once I had a good burn going I tasted light pepper, followed almost immediately by notes of sweet cedar. Base flavors: Charry notes of wood, sweet tobacco, and light pepper on the finish.
