Rick Rodriguez, will be retiring from the company on April 29, 2022. Rick began as a sales representative for General in January of 2000. Five years later, with a nod from then General Cigar  president and CEO, Edgar Cullman Sr., Rick participated in a cigar master training program. His mentors included such cigar industry all-stars as Benji Menendez, Daniel Nuñez, and Ernesto Perez-Carrillo. The Lost Angel – TAA Exclusive 2022 is the eighth ESP (Exclusive Series Product) release the Nashville-based company has done for the annual trade show. Diesel Cigars has rolled out a new limited edition cigar trilogy entitled ‘Fool’s Errand.’ The first of three annually-released cigars is called ‘Stubborn Fool.’ Blended by AJ Fernandez and Diesel senior brand manager, Justin Andrews, Stubborn Fool is being released in one size, a 5” x 58 perfecto. CIGAR NEWS: CAO DEBUTS PILÓN AÑEJO CIGARS

Pilón Añejo cigars, a limited-edition, three cigar selection that will ship to retailers in April with a total of 5,000 boxes to be released in the US. Handcrafted in Honduras at STG’s HATSA factory, the pilón process of natural fermentation is said to heighten the color, texture, and flavor of the cigar’s Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. A Honduran Habano binder and prime Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers also contribute to the medium-full smoke, dispatching notes of wood, earth and toast, with a touch of spice. Read more

CIGAR NEWS: ALEC BRADLEY SHIPPING FINE & RARE SIZE CALLED BC-(13)4EV

Alec Bradley Cigars has shipped U.S. allotments of Fine & Rare BC-(13)4EV. First released in 2011, Fine & Rare is a recurrent project Alec Bradley Cigars founder Alan Rubin created to push the boundaries of cigar blending. To commemorate this 11th version of the Fine & Rare project, each set contains 11 cigars: Ten BC-(13)4EV cigars and a new undisclosed vitola, a BC-(13)4EV-B presented in its own coffin. Read more

Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Nicaragua cigars selection is adding a new 5½x60 Gordo shape to the line. Named ‘Espeso,’ which is Spanish for “thick,” the box-pressed cigar will ship to retailers on or about May 1, 2022.
