H. UPMANN NICARAGUA BY A.J. FERNANDEZ CIGARS NOW OFFERED IN A MINI TIN FORMAT

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Altadis U.S.A., maker of world-renowned premium cigars, will introduce a 4" x 38-ring-sized, handmade mini version of the H. Upmann Nicaragua by A.J. Fernandez, available in mid-June.

The original H. Upmann Nicaragua, which launched in 2017, exposed the time-honored brand to a new generation of adult cigar smokers. The brand will now be available to those looking for a handmade premium cigar in a convenient time-efficient vitola. This vitola has aptly been named, Papi. “Papi” is a term of endearment, frequently used by master blender A.J. Fernandez, for those close to him.

The H. Upmann Nicaragua Papi sets itself apart from other tins, as this vitola is a true, handmade, premium cigar made at the esteemed Tabacalera Fernandez factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. Staying true to its 2017 incarnation, the H. Upmann Nicaragua Papi features the same blend as the original vitolas. Adult cigar smokers will continue to savor the same Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, dressed over a Nicaraguan Corojo 99 binder, and Nicaraguan Criollo 98/Dominican Piloto Cubano fillers.

“We felt strongly that A.J. Fernandez could create a small 4" x 38-sized vitola, that would fill that need for those adult consumers looking for a premium short smoke,” says H.
