Espada by Montecristo Signature Limited Edition Valiente Due for Holidays 2021

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A signature element of the iconic Montecristo label – the crossed swords, or “Espada” in Spanish – is coming to life symbolically with the arrival of Espada by Montecristo Signature in select retail humidors beginning as early as December 2021. 

The Espada by Montecristo Signature, created at the Plasencia Factory in collaboration with acclaimed master blenders, Rafael Nodal and the Grupo de Maestros features a signature blend and a wealth of aged tobaccos from the Plasencia Family’s legendary tobacco library. This rare, limited edition represents the true artisanship and highly skilled blending that made the Montecristo brand famous throughout the world. Packed with valiant tobacco flavors and unparalleled complexity, this unique 55 x 6 gem delivers an intriguing blend as each tobacco’s signature has a distinctive moment to take center stage. 

The blend uses a Colorado Claro wrapper grown in the Jalapa region of Nicaragua – dark brown in color, smooth silky texture in mouth feel, and a rich, full taste full of chocolate and spice. This unique wrapper compliments a skillful combination of binder and filler tobaccos from the Estelí region of Nicaragua that provides intense earthy, sweet and spicy flavors. 

As might be expected, the inspired creators of this beautiful one-of-a-kind, limited-edition cigar gave it just one size and vitola: the 6"x55  “Valiente,” for the valiant character each tobacco brings to honor the signature crossed swords that is Montecristo.  Now well represented with the sword-inspired Espada by Montecristo Signature.
