Famous Smoke Shop got its start in 1939 in New
York City's upper Manhattan as a small cigar shop and luncheonette opened by
Zaretsky's parents. Zaretsky would stand outside as a boy and greet patrons as
they came through the door. In 1984, he assumed full ownership of the company
and built it to the multi-million-dollar retailer it is today.
Aganorsa Leaf has
also been a long-standing staple in the cigar business. They started off in
1996 by cultivating tobacco in Nicaragua for other manufacturers, a crop they called,
Aganorsa Leaf, which now shares their
namesake. As time went on and their popularity grew, demand increased for a cigar
of their own, and they eventually branded their own blends to market to cement
their legacy in the industry.

Aganorsa Leaf Famous 80th Anniversay is a
full-bodied blend manufactured in Esteli, Nicaragua in Aganorsa's TABSA factory.
It features an oily Mexican San Andres Maduro wrapper atop a proprietary blend
of Nicaraguan tobaccos.
